Raymond Shealy, infant son of Alvia
Davis and deceased wife, departed thi9
life Augost 22, 1911, surviving his
mother's death, about two months.
Funeral services were held at Cedar

Rebeckah Shul), died Aug. 22, 1911,

She was married to Dr. Conrad
Shull, November 11, 1875, who preceded
hqr to the spirit land more than
twenty years ago.
She was a life long member of Zion
Evangelical Lutheran church, and as
long as she was able was regular in
her attendance to the church she
loved.
She is the last of a large family td
pass the shores of time, and enter
upon that state where we trust she is
with her Lord.
Her remains were buried near her
lata home, three miles from Lexington,

Franklin B. Soott, a negro, a night
iistributor at the poatofflce in Cleveland,
Ohio. Scott had six unopened
letters in his pocket when arrested,
the officials say,
Scott was able to plok out letters
containing currency with astonishing
accuracy. His finger tips were abnormally
sensitive and he had trimmed
his nails so that the neryes were nearly
exposed. It was his slender, tapering
fingers that led inspectors to suspect
Scott.
He pleaded guilty before United
Stafe? Commissioner Weither and- was
held on $2,500 bond.' Scott hsd been
in the postal service 4 years.

Charleston, committed suicide with a
parlor rifle at his home on Sunday of
last week. He had been despondent
for some time, aud it is thought the
hurricane unsettled his mind.

Sandy Run Notes.
Mrs. Ellen Crim, of Sandy Run,
passed uway on the 26th of August,
1911. Her remains were bnried in the
Calvary burying grounds, Sunday tha
2Cth.
She was the wife of Mr. Henry
Crim, and had reached the age of
sixty-eight years, and is survived by
her husband and five children.
She was a member of Mt. Zion )
Methodist church, but by her request
was buried at Calvary Methodist
church. Rev. Inabinet performed the
funeral services.
Messrs. Willie Ott and V. V. Saylor
are doing a large business with their - '
saw-mill.
Mr. H. D. Stabler has the contraot
for eawiug shingles to cover Calvery
new church.
Joe Harman mads a little mistake

Attacks School Principal.
