Landfor Fair Site. ,
St. Matthews, July 13.?The dire estops
of the County Fair Association
met this morning and determined
upon a site for the grounds. After (
going over the various propositions it
was. unanimously decided to accept v
the offer of 23 acres by the St. Matth
ews Realty Company for $4,000. These
gentlemen agree to take $1,000 dollars
of the purchase price in stock and the
balance in cash on such terms as are
agreeable. The location of the site is '
an ideal one. ?
On account of the grounds being
under cultivation this year thereby
making it impossible to get Dossession y
in time to prepare for the fair, it was r
decided not to hold a fair this fall, but ,
D
to have something like a fall gala day
instead, and have a real fair next 12
year. fc
