After reading the public statement
of this representative citizen of Lexington
given below, you must come to
I <his conclusion: A remedy which cured
years ayo; which has kept the kidneys
in good health since, can be relied upon
to perform the same work in other
cases. Read this:
L. Hall, jeweler, Main St., Lexington,
S. C-, says: "I suffered from I
kidney trouble for several years and 1
finally my kidneys- became so weak I
tbat I was alarmed. The kidney secretions
were too frequent inpassage
y at times, then again I conld hardly
void them. I felt weak, lost flesh, did
not sleep well and was neryous and
irritable. A short time ago I got a
supply of Doan's Kidney Pills from
the Kanfmann Drug Co. and since I
used them, I have improved wonderfully.
I earnestly recommend this
remedy to aJl kidney sufferers.'' I
{Statement given March 0, 1908.)
three years later.
Mr. Hall was interviewed on March
23, 1^11 and he said: "I still take
Doan's Kidney Pills occasionally and
they keep me well. This remedy is
all that it is represented to be and I
gladly cor firm my former endorsement
of it."
For sale by all dealers. Price 50
? cents. Foster-Milburn Co., Buffalo,

First Bale Brings $1,015.
Houston, June 12.?The year's first
bale of cotton was sold here to-day for

being 493 pounds and the price $1,015.
This was the highest pric e ever paid
on the Houston Exchange tor a bale ol
cotton. S. Jesse Jones, who is not in
the cotton business, was the successful
bidder. He says he does not know yet
what he will do with the cotton. He
had three competitors until the $1,OOC
mark was reached, when the o here
dropped out.
The bale was carefully examined
and pronoi n jed to be entirely new cotton,
and classed a i strict .middling.
Mrs, Adam R. Metfcs, spent last week
in and around Irmo with relatives anc
friends.
