I 16,000 Lutherans Worship What was declared to have been the largest Lutheran devotional service since the days of Martin Luther was held in the Coliseum at St. Louis on last Sunday afternoon, where 16,000 persons gathered to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the birth of the Rev. Dr. C. F. W. Walther, who is credited with reviving the Lutheran church in the United States. The celebration was in connection with the celebration there of the Mis eouri Synod of the .Lutheran unurcn, comprising 3,000 congregations in the United States with a membership of 900,000. A chorus of 4,000 voices, including 3,000 children and students of Concordia Seminary, founded by Dr. Walther, in St. Louis, sang and an orchestra of seventy-five pieces, made up of all the local Lutheran church89, played. A meeting of the stockholders of Middleburg Mills is hereby called for 12 o'clock noon on May 20th, 1911, at the office of the corporation at Batesburg, S. C., to consider a resolution, passed by the directors at a meeting held on April 19th, 1911, suggesting an issue of one thousand shares of common stock 01 the par value or one hundred dollars each, which will be an increase of the capital stock of one hundred thousand dollars.
