DR. HD
A specific for which it is recommended.
Most of them have been
- used and stood the most trying tests
of years of experience, world-wide
travel in different climes and among
different people. Dermozone, a Hair
Tonic, i9 the child of South Carolina,
born in Columbia and grew apace untill
misfortune overtook it. The Dr.
got sick, entrusted Dermozone to the
care of others and mismanagement and
misfortune gave Dermozone a back set
from which it is just now recovering,
and today it stands in a class of its
own, out-shining all other hair tonics,
as the sun outshines an eclipsed moon.
See the pictures. The photographer's
camera doesn't lie. The original photos
from which these cuts were made
are in the Dermozone office. Besides
that the Dr. is seen and known by
thousands in Columbia and surrounding
coontry. As. to testimonials we
have hxmdreds, but cannot show them
here, but can prove to any one inter,
ested, beyond a doubt, that Dermo
aone is as sure to grow hair as South
Carolina soil is to grow corn and cotton
when planted.
4 '
So sure are we of this we will guarantee
io give you back your money if
5 we can't produce hair on any scalp we
undertake. Wekre glad to dp this.
Don't want your money unless we do
you good, give you full value. Price
50 cents and $1.00 per bottle with a
cake of Dr. Haraings Dermozone soap.
JJentazone Cream.
i Now let who will tell you that this,
that or the other will cure Riggs disease,
Pyorrhea, commonly called tartar
on the teeth, shrinking or wasting
of the gums, scurvy, loose teeth and
so on. All these are denominated by
Dr. Harding as Catarrh of the Mouth,
0 and he guarantees to cure any vaso
with his Denfcazone Cream, a remedy
used by him with unparalled success

Automobiles Make Long
Run From Savannah
k
To Charlotte.
More than fifty automobiles made
the run from Savannah, Ga., to Charlotte,
N. C.. Leaving Savannah on
Tuesday and returning Thursday and
Friday of last week, the party passing
through Lexington on Wednesday.
The prime motive of the run was to
awaken a keen interest in good roads
movement and. to ultimately establish
an antomoble highway from
Savannah to Charlotte.
The enthusiasm with which the
party was greeted at all points along
the line, shows conclusively that the
good roads movement is rapidly gaining
ground. Speeches were made by
the pood roads advocates of the party
j at nearly every stop.
f The time was when the people were
prejudiced against the automobile,
but, happily, that time has past. The
automobile 19 here to stay until it is

toe automobile has had more to do
with the building of better public
highways than anything ever invented.
^ The more automobiles we have the
^ more good roads will be built.
It seems to be a certainty now that
this hignway will come by Lexington.
Likewise it seems a certainty that
Lexington will be on the official
^ Columbia-Greenville highway, which
is soon to be established. This speaks
well for Lexington roads, and should
be an incentive to all our people to
strive harder for more and better highways.

on the open market for healing and

to consult one of the worst cases I

treated by mauy dentists, as well as
by physicians: dieted and treated constitutionally.

Pinazone.
A Cough Remedy. A positive cure
for coughs from all common causes;
a great relief in asthma ?.nd also in
consumption. A trial is all that is
necessary to convince anyone of its
merits. I say unhesitatingly. I believe
I owe my life to this medicine.
Don;t get scared at the word Pinazone
and think it "white pine syrup,"there's
not a drop of white pine in it; it is a
scientific compound of medical herbs
and roots. Price 25 and 50 cents per
bottle.

Here's a 15-year yarn; yon like ,
yarns, don't you? It comes from Odell ]
Hardware Oo, Greensboro, N C.
MrRG Glenn's house in that town
was painted Devoe about 15 years ago,
and next, this year. ,
A house, next-door, was painted
about the same time with another paint,
supposed to be good. This house was
painted again about 5 years ago with
still another paint, that professes to be
extraordinay.
Glenn's house, before it wa9 painted
just now, was in as good condition as
that one. Devoe 15 years; the other 5
years?guess that's about how to put it.
But thi3 extraordinary paint is a
bluff; Deyoe is the paint.

Camping Among
The Pines.
Mr. Sander9 D. Hook, of Columbia,
who spent a great part of the summer
Last year at Laurel Falls, near Lexin^"
ton, will again camp among the pines.
He is having erected a neat little cook
house, while a number of tents will
rint. tfcp hills amoncr the pine9. j
At varous intervals during the summer
many Columbians will visit the
camp. Several party8 of young folk,
including many ladies, are already
making arrangements to come over.
There is no better place to camp,
and Lexington's climate is a good
tonic for those seeking health.
