Welch Wilbur, on rural route No. 3, has a novel and ingenious arrangement for getting his mail. His box is nearly half a mile from his home, on route No. 3. He has the box so fixed by an arrangement of wires that by turning a crank at his home it comes to him, and in the same way he sends it back to its place. A child can easily work the attachment that sends the box out to its place and brings it back. It takes the box a minute and a half to make the trip one way. The rate of interest is three per cent.
