At Ansonia, Conn., Thoma3 Fitzgibbons,
Sr., and his wife, Nora, were
found dead in their home with their
skulls crashed in and the house on
fire. Their son, Thomas J., is under
arrest charged with the murder, though
? according to the story told by the police,
his father killed his mother and
he in turn killed his father. The son
has two light scalp wounds which he
said he received in the struggle with
his father, but the medical examiner
thinks the wounds were self-inflicted.

have an annual picnic at Woodford.
Our town shall always welcome the
men who wore the gray, as they are
among the bravest and mo9t gallant
men of the South.
At eleven o'clock they met at the
school house and had impromptu
talks. Most of them 9poke of war experiences,
a few told some good jokes,
but none seemed to be sorry the struggle
and sacrifice had been made. The}
all were proud to have served for the
lost cause. Then one who had speni
many years in serving others, said,
"Comrades, are you waging a Christian
warfare? That war is the most
important to us. For you know we
are rapidly passing to another sphere."
In the next room dinner was servea
Dy three ladies, who are daughters oi
veterans. The ladies in town sent hot
coffee which added much to the din
ner. The veterans drank their coffee
to Mr. Knignt's health and wished ht
would be married before they met at
the next picnic at Woodford. He it
the only bachelor of Co. K.
Mr. D. G. Crim ate his dinner with
^combination knife, fork and spoon
/hat he used during the war.
' Late in the afternoon they left for
their homes feeling happy to have
been so kindly remembered. Co. K.
