IN MEMORY OF DAVIS
CAUGHMAN.
On the morning of March the first
the spirit o? Davis (Jaughman left the
clay, which it had ?o much enobled,
and traveled out of this world into the
haven of rest.
The expressions of regret which
] sprang from those who surrounded the
death-bed were swelled into one great
! voice of sorrow by those to whom his j
many virtues were known.
Never had mother a nobler son. In
| him we have an example of a stainless
character, sweetened by an affectionate
heart. In him all that was pure
and lofty in mind and purpose found
lodgment. Dignified without presumption,
he united all those charms of
manners which made him the idol of

success did not change, so,
when the dark clouds swept over him,
adversity did not depress. Having a
perfect command over his temper, ho
was neyer seen angry, and only those
who knew him closest can ever fully
realize how near he approached an
ideal character.
In his death fond parents have lost a
son of whom they might well be
proud; broken-hearted sisters and
brothers a loving brother whom only
the Supreme Ruler loved better, and
sorrowing friends a friend indeed.
Yet, amid all rhese trials, may we remember
that our temporary los9 is his
eternal gain and, looking to Him who
is ever ready to help, prepare to meet

Mrs. Maria Goertz, Orienta, Oklahoma,
writes:
"My husband, children and myself
have used your medicines, and we always
keep them in the house in case of
necessity. I was restored to health t>y
this medicine, and Dr. Hartman's invaluable
advice and books. People ask
about me from different places, and are
surprised that I can do all of my housework
alone, and that I was cured by the
doctor of chronic catarrh. My husband
was cured of asthma, my daughter of
earache and catarrh of the stomach, and
my son of catarrh of the throat. When
I was sick 1 weighed 100 pounds; now I
