Your Valued Pat
Send Them To Bed Wtih
A Kiss
O Mothers, so weary, discouraged,
Worn out with the cares of the day,
You often grow cross and impatient,
Complain of the noise and the play;
For the day brings so many vexations,
So many thing going amiss;
Bnt, mothers, whateyer may vex yon,
Send the children to bed with a kiss!
The dear little feet wander often,
Perhaps, from the pathway of right,
The dear little hands find new mischief
To try yon from morning till night;

Who'd give all the world for your bliss
And as thank9 for your infinite blessings
Send che children to bed with a kiss '
[ For some day their noise will not vex
you
The silence will hurt you far more;
You will long for their childish yoices
For a sweet chilaish face at the door;
And to press a child's face to your
bosom
You'd give all the world for just thisi
For the coraiort 'twill bring in your
sorrow,
Send the children to bed with a kiss!

I ?Rirmincham A are-Herald.
He used to take sweet Alice
To hear the village band,
He used to sit with Nellie?
He used to hold her hand,
He dangled after Flora,
Bat he hooked up with Bess
Because of all he courted
'Twas she alone said yes.
?Houston Post.
He used to dream of Myrtle,
Whose curly hair was brown;
He used to think Anita,
The sweetest girl in town;
But he dually married Susie?
As cue within a trance?
For Susie was a widow
And he didn't have a chance.
?Tennessean.
He used to hang 'round Mollie?
Sue had such rosy lips,
He used to swear by Dollie
And her patent-padded hips,
Bijt he dually married Bert,
The ugliest in all creation,
Because she wore no hobble skirt
And owned a good plantation.
