Crlppea Was HaaseA Dr. Orippea, an American, was hanged in London on Weduesday for the murder of his wife. His wife disappeared last spring, he saying that she had come to this country on business. In July friends of his wife started an investigation, and he, with his typist, fled to America, landing in Canada the last of the month. When they landed a British officer was there to arrest them. They were carried I back to London, and their trial took place in due course of time. There I was no hurry?and there was no un| necessary delay. He was convicted | of murder and sentenced to hang. He appealed to the highest court of Erglaud, and the appeal was dismissed. He broke down at the last and had to be carried to the scaffold.
