NOTICE OF ELECTION. STATE Of SOUTH CAROLINA, County of "Lexington. Notice is hereby given that the general election for State and county officers will be held at the voting preShsts prescribed by law in said county, on Tuesday, November S, 1910, said day being Tuesday following the first Monday in November, as prescribed by law. Tfue qualifications for suffrages are follows: Residence in State for two years, In the county one year, in the polling i : precinct in which the elector offers to vote, four months, and the payment six months before any election of any poll tax then due ar.d payable: ProTided, That ministers in charge of an organized church and teachers of public schools shall be entitled to voteafter six months* residence in the istate, if otherwise oualified. Managers of election must require *vf pncii vr>tf>r the production of a reg istrcitio'i certificate and the proof of j the payment of all taxes, including; poll tax, assessed and collectable during the previous year. The production of a certificate or the receipt of . the officer authorised to collect sn-'i taxes shall be conclusive proof of f-r payment thereof. There shall be separate and uls'Jroi ballots and boxes at this elect'on fothe following officers, to w : (' . gov ernor and lieutenant governor; (.: ? other State officer?: (2; Stav< senator; (4) members o? boose of representatives; (5) county officers. Or. which shall be the name or names c; the person or persons voted for as such officers, respectively, and the office for which they are voted. Before the hour fixed for opvning the polls, managers and clerks must take and subscribe the consti-ut-cued oath. The chairman of the beard c* managers can. adminrscer the oath to the other members and to ihe cieik: a notary public must administer tfloat h to the chairman. The managers elect their chairman and clerk. Polls at each voting place mu.-.t. b* -opened at 7 o'clock a. m. and closed at 4 p. m., except in t*city of Chavleston, where they shall be opened at 7 a. m. and closed at 6 p. in. The managers have the power to fill a vacancy, and if none of the managers attend, the citizens can appoint from among the qualified voters, the managers, who, after being sworn, can conduct the election.
