Leaphart ae president of the South Carolina Postmasters' association the honor has been most worthily bestowed. He is a Lexingto-uan by birth, being* a son of the lamented Dr. C. E. Mr. Leaphart is a strong secret orfder man. being a past master Mason, qgrngt noble grand Odd Fellow, and mast chancellor commander of the J&rights of Pythias. In all of these ^orders he has ever stood high In the ^estimation of his brother-members. Miss May Boozer. His? May Boozer, the charming Jonog daughter of Mrs. Lizzie Boozer, as been elected assistant normal teacher at the College for Women, ^Columbia. Miss Boozer gradoated from the college with nigh honors last Jane, and her election as a member I ef the faculty so soon is a decided compliment to her ability. St. Stephen's Lutheran church was the scene of a very pretty and brilliant wedding on Wednesday evening, Oct. 5, when Miss Meredeth Muller, of Lexington, and Mr. George LeFever were happily married, the Rev. T. S. Brown, officiating The church was elaborately decorated for the occasion. Immediately after the ceremony a brilliant reception was held at the borne of the bride's mother to which a number of guests were invited. The happy couple left -for Florida for a brief bridal tour. Returning to Lexington they are now at home to their friends at the home of the bride's mother at the depot. The bride is the only daughter of Mrs. Justus A. Muller and 19 a young woman of rare graces of mind and nearc. The groom, by his close . attention to duty, and genial disposition has endeared himself to all with whom he has come in contact, and is deservedly popular. Miss Lila Belle Hook, the attractive daughter of Mr. Sid Ilook, of Hollow cr ;ek, has accepted a .position with Mr. G. II. Roof, the popular merchant at Barr. 1'aiiii ii belay.
