Shoes, Shoes, Shoes,
I have just opened up a lot of new
shoes right from the factory. Come
and see me before you purchase elsewhere.

A Correction.
In the statement of the condition of
The Home National Bank published
last week an error occurred. In the
total deposits were placed at $92,707.77,
when it should Lave been $97,445.50.
We gladly correct the error, as
it was entirely our fault. Don't
Break Down.
Severe strains on the vital organs,
like stiains on machinrry, cause breakdowns.
You can't over-tax stomach, 1
liver, kidneys, bowels or nerves with- i
out serious danger to yourself. If you
are weak or run-down, or under strain
of any kind, take Electric Bitters the
matchless, tonic medicine. Mrs. J. E. i
Van de Sande, of Kirkland, 111., writes:
"That I did not break down, while enduring
a most severe strain, for three
months, is due wholly to Electric Bitters."
Use them and enjoy health and
strength, Satisfaction positively guaranteed.

The Chaingang.
The county chaingang is still campped
naar Dreher's feriy, in the Fork,
aiid some very fine work is being done
on the road leading to Irmo. It will
take about two more weeks to complete
this road, after which the gang
will move to a point below Irmo and
will commence work on the old Stage
road by Leaphart's to Columbia.
There are now about 36 hands on
the works, and the supervisor hope s
to have this number increased after
the approaching term of court.
The Lash of a Fiend
would have been about as welcome to
A. Cooper of Oswego, N. Y., as a mer- i
ciless lung-racking cough that defied |
ail remedies for years. "It was most
troublesome at night," he writes,
"nothing helped me till I used Dr.
King's New Discovery which cured me
completely. I never cough at right
now." Millions know its matchless
merit for stubborn colds, obstinate
coughs, sore lungs, lagrippe, asthma,
hemorrhage, croup, whooping cough,
or hayfever. It relieves quickly and
never fails to satisfy. A trial convinces.
50c, $1 00. Trial bottle free. It's
positively guaranteed by Kaufmann
Drug Co.
Lots of New Cotton.
During the last week a lot of new
cotion has been sold on this market. |
On Saturday W. P. Roof bought 33 i
bales. The crop is opening very fast
and if good weather continues it will
not be long before the greater amount
of the staple will have been gathered.
Thirteen cents is the prevailing price
at the local market.
