for governor and other state office
addressed a large audience in tfc
court house. Many ladies graced tt

land. Mr. Lever spoke for more tha

drunk in his life. Mr. Blease received

j. C. C. Featherstone, who ran on the
11 prohibition platform twelve years age
e when it was not popular as it is today,
e was greeted with applause. He at
once entered into a discussion of the
liquor question, 9tating that he had
g no appologies to make for his posi0
tion. It was the paramount issue and
he proposed to stick to it even if he
r went down in defeat. He favors bi(S
ennial sessions of the legislature and
i- stands for four-year terms for all state
d and county officers. He closed in an
n eloquent plea for a Christian mants
hood, and wa9 cheered to the echo
e when he took hi9 seat,
