Must Savo License
to Carry a Pistol.
If you live in Georgia you can't
carry a pistol now, even unconcealed
and strapped around the outside of
your coat, unless you have a special
license, for the legislature has enacted
a new Jaw, at lea6t the house has
passed it. The new bill leaves that
concealed weapon law just as it was
before, and provided a further penalty
for anybody carrying the weapon
openly without a license.
Those Pies Of Boyhood.
How delicious were the pies of boyhood
No pies now ever taste so good, what's
changed? the pies? No. Its you. You've
lost the strong, lieaitby stomach, the
vigorous liver, the active kidneys, the
regular bowels of boyhood. Your digestion
is poor and you blame the food.
What's needed? A complete toning up
by Electric Bitters of all organs of digestion-Stomach,
Liver, Kidneys, Bowels?Try
them. They'll restore your
boyhood appetite and appreciation of
food and fairly saturate your body with
new health, strength and vigor. 50c at

A CHANG'S OF MIND.
Abbeville Editor Has Been Convinced
of the Benefits of Prohibition.
On the subject of dispensary or prohibition
men's minds may change.
For instance: When the election for
dispensary or no dispensary was had
in Abbeville this scribe voted for the
dispensary. Since the dispensary has
been closed, we see good results in sobriety,
and noc the demoralization
and free liquor that we expected to
see. With the law enforced incalculable
good will result to any people
who want prohibition, and we hope t)
see it enforced to the letter.?Abtevillp

The Automobile And Cotton.
The following is from the "Cycle
And Automobile Trade Journal" of
Philadelphia: "Automobiles require
about a million bales of cotton annually,
of which 300,000 bales are used in
the manufacture of automobile tires
and procetors, 35,aoo bales for the
manufacture of 'leather' seats and
cushions, 10,000 for the stuffing and
upholstering, while the remainder is
used for the manufacture of auto clothing,
slip covers, insulating of copper
wires, tool bags, tool rolls, waste and
mercerized raincoats.
"Take the question of autom;.bile
lubricating oils alone?whj, millions
of yard3 of duck 4C inches wide are
used annually for the purpose of filration,
while most every car owner has i
a. canvas cover to put over his car
while standing in the garage, and the
lamps and other bright parts are covered
in rainy weather with the enameled
waterproof covers. All this uses
up countless bales of cotton, so that
the automobile uses as much, if not
mme, cotton than the railroads and
other allied industries.''
