Her remains wTere laid to rest in the eity cemetery ou Friday afternoon, with last sad rites by the Rev. J. C. Jounts of the Methodist church. Mrs. Tom Lewis died at her home n the Black creek section on Friday ind was buried at Black creek Lutheran church on Saturday at koon, with funeral services by the Rev. A. j R. Taylor. Mrs. Lewis had been a great sufferer for many years, but she bore it with christian fortitude. She is survived bv her husband and several children. I'he deceased was about 65 years old. School Elections Held. In the election heid in Pineville district, Hollow Creek, last Saturday on ;he question of voting a special levy if 2 mills for school purposes, resulted in a tie vote, there bemg 16 votes for and 16 against the proposition. Another election will be held in about ;wo weeks ti decide the matter. In Camp Branch district, No. 84, the jpecial levy was carried without a Assenting vote.
