Chiquola Drug Co., Anderson, S C.: I
Dear Sirs: In response to your in- j ]
qairy, I cheerfully state that I have i
used R. L. T. in my family for several j
years with very beneficial results. I t
nave personally used it recently for
its tonic effects and have been much i
benefitted. For chronic constipation, ]
indigestion and torpid liver, I do not i
know a better remedy.

Why She Couldn't Accept.
Telephone operators who plug wrong
numbers or get the wires crossed sometimes
are responsible for very embarrassing
situations, as was exemplified
by a broker in this city yesterday
morning.
The broker called up his home number
and said to the person on the other
end of the wire:
"Hullo, dear, is that you?"
"Yes," replied a sweet-toned voice.
"Well, I've been thinking about c
you all morning. I want you to come r
downtown and meet me for lunch and *
we'll go to a show this afternoon." j
"Well, that would be very nice,' l
replied the person on the other end. s
"and I should dearly love to do so, J
but my husband is heme, and I'm ti
afraid he'd object. Don't you think t
you've got the wroug number?"? *Philadelphia

A Yc-cing Mother. *
The officials cf the Chicago Juvenile
court began last week on investigation w
of the case of Annie Epps, 10 years y
old, who gave birth to a girl baby at j

It was reported that the young moth- ?

and it has been found absolutely true g
that she is just 10 years old. A phy- H

Surprising Facts About The

"The Fourth Estate" has been warn*

It is said that there have been only
Due or two of the thousands of new
proprietary medicine houses have
made any considerable money that
have started the past twenty years
and only a very few more that have
met with even moderate success. It
is the general impression that the bus?

mess is immenseiy proniauie wnuo tuts
facts are that there is a larger percentage
of failures than in any other line.
The new concerns usually start with
lots of confidence in the merit of their
?oods and advertising but soon exhaust
their capital leaving dealers
who have stocked their medicines
with unsalable goods oh their shelves,
ft is the experience of many publishers
that have accepted this new business
that they have been compelled
to charge off their bills to profit and
loss. . '
There are man}- old and reliable
medicine houses that continue to do a
