Our organization has great regard for the press of South Carolina, and it has been geneious with us. We cannot do great things, but whenever an opportunity presents itself, we feel it our duty to do something for the protection of onr homes and firesides. . Gibbs, proprietor of the Gibbs Machinery Company, of Columbia, which will be read with interest by many of our people : "We have noted your editorial reference of the 24th to the roads between Lexington and Leesville, and wish to advise that we brought two cars through the country from Atlanta to Columbia at the close of the automobile show in Atlanta. "We agree entirely with Mr. Harth that the only difficult portion of the road is between Lexington and Leesville, and that is unquestionably?bad.
