Dix, at tlie home of Miss Ellen Brock,
and then killed himself.
Wilkinson, who was 19 years old,
alsc wounded Henry Hoelscher, 60
years old, who tried to disarm him.
Miss Ellen Brock secreted herself in
the house, while Wilkinson searched
in vain- His body was found later in
a field, where he had shot himself in
the head.

bitten by a rattlesnake. He says
that the cow was in the pasture when
