Investigating Bed Snider.
Prof. W. A. Thomas, of Clemson
college. State entomologist, spent
Monday in Lexington investigating
the red spider whicn has been playing
havoc with the cotton crop in this section,
especially on the farm of Mr.
George Fields near town.
Prof. Thomas stated that, in his
opinion, the crop is too far advanced
to apply an effective remedy for this
