Kneece, of Baxter, one of the most popular and influential young men in his section, was here for the educational rally on Monday. By far the most brilliant event of the season in Lexington was the Daisy reception at the hospitable and lovely home of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Roof last evening. The house was thrown wide cpen to the more than two hundred juests. A delightful program consisting of music, both instrumental and vocal, recitations, etc., was rendered with great effect. Dainty refreshments were served throughout the even ing. A silver offering was taken and a substantial sum realized, which will ?0 to the church fund. There are no more charming enter:ainers than Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Roof, ind every one present last night left r.nging their praises. Church. Council to Meet.
