The Dispatch Appreciated. i
To the Editor of The Dispatch:
Enclosed find my check for $1.0) to
pay subscription to The Dispatch. I
fail to see any sign on my paper
whereby I can tell whether my subscription
ha9 expired or not. However,
you can pass the amount to my
credit.
I have taken the Lexington paper
ever since it was headed "The Lexington
Flag," if I am not mistaken. I
have taken it at least 30 consecutive

county paper. The paper itself is
worth the money and it should be in
the family of every citizen in the
county. I take the liberty to advise
the head of every family in Lexington
county to send in his dollar at
once for The Lexington Dispatch.
From the very fact that this great
liquor question by an act of the legislature
has narrowed down to a point
where it will be decided by a majority
vote of the wet counties in South Carolina
on the ;17th day of next August,
and in all probability there will be
very interesting reading in The Dispatch
for the next sixty days to come
and every citizen who expects to cast
his vote for or against prohibition in
the August election should be a subscriber
to his county paper, as this I
subject will in all probability be m
discussed on the stump and in the
county paper. v
I am a South Carolinian and was 7
born in Lexington county and am N
proud of it. I am now living in the /
town of Newberry, county of New- *
berry, which is a so-called dry coun- (
ty, where 10c baer sells for 20c per ^
bottle, and old North ^Carolina white \
corn, that costs $1.50 per gallon, sells 9
for $1.25 per quart.
The writer has never been a dispcn- (
sary advocate, but under the present s
management I prefer dispensary to ^
prohibition, and if these few lines do ?
not reach the waist basket I am going to
giye the readers of The Dispatch /
my reasons later on. >
I notice in your issue of July 7 my /
friend, Dr. E. C. Ridgell, has given ?
some figures on dispensary profits, ^
and so on, which I would say is cor- ?
rect. This prohibition and dispensary \
question should be discussed pro and "
con so that each voter could cast his ^
vote intelligently on the 17th of Aug- /
ust. W. M. Wilson. ^

TRUTHFUL REPORTS. \
\
Lexington Beads Them With /
Uncommon Interest. .
A Lexington citizen tells his experience
in the following statement. No m
better evidence than this can be had. \
The truthful reports of friends and ^
neighbors is the best proof in the g
world. Read and be convinced. "
A. Marks, Depot St., Lexington, S. |
C., say9: "I suffered from severe pains g
through my back and sides for months "
and felt miserable in every way. My |
kidneys did not act properly and I g
knew that they required a tonic. I "
Srocured Doan's Kidney Pills at The |
laufmann Drug Co., and since taking g
the contents of one box, I am able to "
do my work without any trouble. The |
{)ains in my back and sides have greaty
diminished and my kidneys give
me no annoyance. I recommend
Doan's Kidney Pills to others in return
for the great benefit I have obtained
from their use."

medicine for Stomach, Liver and Kidney
troubles. We regard it as one of
the best family medicines on earth."
