Mildly, they prevaricate.

feet with three gallons Devoe last
year; and paints all his jobs Devoe.
That's how the tale gets to us.
He doesn't say, whether one or two
coats; if one, there's nothing wonderful
in it; if two; they must have very
small feet in New Orleans.
Devoe doesn't stop at 300 feet; but
J over 600! Most paints, we suppose,
f ' can be stretched to 3G0 feet, but
they're mighty thin; they cover well

Boards of Equalization.
The township and town boards of
I assessors will meet at some convenient
place in their respective townships
on Tuesday, March 2nd, 1909, or
as soon thereafter as practical. The
county board of equalization will
meet at Lexington, C. H., in the auditor's
office on Tuesday, March 23rd,
1909. The chairman of the town and
township boards compose the county
board of equalization.
The chairman, or some member of
the various boards, will call at the
auditor's office prior to March 2nd,
1009, for returns of their township,
blanks, instructions, etc. Don't ask
for returns to be sent by express.
