In the good old-fashioned days of our grandmothers they relied upon the roots and herbs of the field to cure disease and mitigate suffering. The Indians on our Western Plains to-dav can nroduce roots and herbs for every ailment, and cure diseases that baffle the most skilled physicians who have spent years in j the study of drugs. From the roots and herbs of the ; field Lydia E. Pink ham more than thirty years ago gave to the women of the wbrld a remedy for their peculiar ills, more potent and efficaclous than any combination of drags. | Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable' Compound is now recognized as the j standard remedy for woman's ills, j Mrs. Bertha Muff, of 615 N.C. St, Louisiana, Mo., writes: 44 Complete restoration to health means so much to me that for the sake of other suffering women I am willing to make my troubles public. 4 4 For twelve years X had been suffering with the worst forms of female ills. About two years ago I wrote Mrs. Pinkham for advice. I followed it, and ean truly say that Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound and Mrs. Pinkham's advice restored health and strength. It is worth mountains of gold to suffering women." What lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound did for Mrs. Muff, it will do for other suffering women. The season for coughs and colds is now at hand and too much care cannot be used to protect the children. A child is much more likely to contract diptheria or scarlet fever when he has a cold. The quicker you cure his cold the less the risk. Chamberlain's Cough Remedy is the sole reliance of many mothers, and few of those who have tried it are willing to use any other. Mrs. F. F. Staicher, of Ripley. W. Va.f says: "I have never used anything other than 1 i. ~o mv UlUUHDUriBlll B vyuu.fc.LL itciucuj ivt mj children and it has always Riven good satisfaction."
