This vrornan says she was saved
from an operation by Lydia E.
Pinkham's Vegetable Compound.
"Do nothing half so rash;
I'll take a mortgage on your place,
And never ask for cash."
'Twas so agreed; the year3 rolled
round;
The farmer prosperous grew,
Till at the end of five he found
His man had prospered, too.
For then it was, his wage to pay,
The man he hired chose
To let the farmer go away,
The mortgage to foreclose.
"Whybe," the farmer said, "so rash?
I'll tell you what I'll do?
A mortgage take, not asking cash,
And stay and work for you."
I Now each five years they alternate,
Whoe'er the farm did own,
Farmer and man co-operate,
And both have prosperous grown.

Eating.
I have used Chamberlain's Stomach
and Liver Tablets for some time, and
can testify that they have done me
more good than any tablets I have ever
used. My troublo was a heavy dull
feeling after eating.?David Freeman,
Kempt, Nova Scotia. These tablets
strengthen the stomach and improve
the digestion. They also regulate the
liver and bowels. They arc far superior
to pills but cost no more. Get a

The Hungry Tramp.
A tramp called at a house and asked
the sweet-faced woman if she would
give him "something to eat, for God's
sake." She brought out some dry
bread and told him it was all 9he had
and would give it to him "for Jesus
sake." He asked her if she would
put "some butter on it for Christ's
sake."

The old-fashioned way of dosing a <
weak stomach, or stimulating the heart
or Kidneys is all wrong. Dr. Skoop
first pointed out. this error. This is
why his prescription?Dr. Shoop's Restorative?is
directed entirely to the
cause of these ailments?the weak inside
or controlling nerves. It isn't so
difficult, says Dr. Shoop, to strengthen
a weak Stomach, Heart, or Kidneys, if
one goes at it correctly. Each inside
organ has its controlling or inside nerve.
When these nerves fail, then those organs
must surely falter. These vital
truths are leading druggists everywhere
to dispense and recommend Dr. Shoop's
Restorative. Test it a few days, and
