"Do nothing half so rash; I'll take a mortgage on your place, And never ask for cash." 'Twas so agreed; the year3 rolled round; The farmer prosperous grew, Till at the end of five he found His man had prospered, too. For then it was, his wage to pay, The man he hired chose To let the farmer go away, The mortgage to foreclose. "Whybe," the farmer said, "so rash? I'll tell you what I'll do? A mortgage take, not asking cash, And stay and work for you." I Now each five years they alternate, Whoe'er the farm did own, Farmer and man co-operate, And both have prosperous grown. ?WILLIAM J. Wells, postmistress at Cheraw, has tendered her resignation, to take effect on the appointment of her successor. She is a presidential appointee and is paid $1,700 a j'ear. The reason for the resignation is the approaching < I marriage of Miss Wells. i l The old-fashioned way of dosing a < weak stomach, or stimulating the heart or Kidneys is all wrong. Dr. Skoop first pointed out. this error. This is why his prescription?Dr. Shoop's Restorative?is directed entirely to the cause of these ailments?the weak inside or controlling nerves. It isn't so difficult, says Dr. Shoop, to strengthen a weak Stomach, Heart, or Kidneys, if one goes at it correctly. Each inside organ has its controlling or inside nerve. When these nerves fail, then those organs must surely falter. These vital truths are leading druggists everywhere to dispense and recommend Dr. Shoop's Restorative. Test it a few days, and ~ ? 1 see!
