here on business last week.
Mr. W. L. Taylor, of near Lexington,
spent Saturday night with his
brother-in-law, Mr. J. A. E. Shealy.
Mr. W. M. Shealy served as a petit
juror at Saluda this week and Mr. J.
Ed Shealy as a grand juror.
Mr. J. W. Hare, of Augusta, was in
this section for several days last week.
Mrs. Jacob L. Sbealy is dangerously
sick at the borne of her lather, Mr.
D. J. Padgett.
Mr. I. P. Eargle made a business
trip to Summit last Thursday.
Prof. W. E. Monts, of the Delmar
Collegiate Institute,, spent Saturday
and Sunday with his father near Prosperity.
TheEpsy Hare lands were 9old here
at public auction, on Dee. 1st. Mr. I.
P. Eargle purchased the estate at

1909 Will-Bo a Tear of
Eclipses.
According to the almanac for 1909
there will be four eclipses during the
coming year. They will be equally
divided between the sun and moon.
Three of the numbers, total eclipse
of the sun, a total escapse of the
moon, another eclipse of the moon,
will be visible in here while
the fourth, a partial esclipse of the
sun, will not be visible in this country.
A total eclipse of the sun, which
will occur on June 17, will be visible
