Resolutions of Respect.
Mrs. Sally Wingard was born
and died 190S.
In early life she joined the Evangelical
Lutheran church, and at its organization
united with Pilgrim congregation,
and was until her death a

In church and Sunday-school work,
in the neighborhood social circles,
and in her home, she was always kind,
cheerful, self-sacrificing, and helpful.
Especially was she interested in and
active in the work of our missionary
society and our Sunday school; therefore
be it resolved
1st. That in the death of Mrs. Sally
Wingard the missionary society of
Pilgrim congregation has lost a member
whose activity did much to promote
the welfare of the society, and
whose counsel did more to strengthen
the hands and the faith of its members.
2nd. That our Sunday school
mourns the loss of a teacher who al
ways brought to her work the sunshine
of her own cheerful disposition,
one who loved the work and the children
of the Sunday school, and one
who freely gave whatever she could
of time, strength and means to promote
the interest of Sunday school
work.
3rd. That we extend to the bereaved
family our sincere sympathy
in their sorrow, and assure them that
we, her associates and friends, share
their sorrow and bid them to be consoled
as we ai^ in contemplating her
life so cheerfully spent and so well
spent in the service of her family, her
church, her community and her God.
4th. That a copy of these resolutions
be sent to her family, and also,
for publication to the Church Visitor
anrl the Lexington Disnate.h.
