Tribute of Bespect.
Whereas God has seen fit in His inscrutable
wisdom to remove from the
scenes of earth to the heavenly mansions
our neighbor and pastor, G. R.
Shaffer, therefore be it resolved,
1st. That we bow in humble submiaainn
t.hp wisdom and nrovidence
of Him who doeth all things well.
2nd. That in his death our town has
lost a good neighbor, a valuable citizen,
our church an earnest worker
and conscientious pastor, and his
family a wise counsellor, who#e place
cannot be filled.
3rd. That we tender to the bereaved
family our heartfelt sympathies and
pray God's richest blessings on them.
4th. That a blank page in our minute
book be dedicated to his memory.
5th. That a copy of these resolutions
be sent tc the Southern Christian
Advocate, The Lexington Dispatch,
and, also a copy be sent to the
family.
Respectfully submitted.

This is the time of year to set out
shade trees where needed. The water

mulberry tree in the back yard is
good for chickens.
