The Work of Good Neighbors.
On last Tuesday the neighbors and
friends of Mr. T. P. Drafts, who has
been prostrate with a spell of fever
for several weeks, gathered at his
home, in the Priceville section, and
gathered his crop and sowed his small
grain. This reminds us of the "long
ago," when neighbors would gather
together and assist each other in
times of sickness. Surely, this was
the work of kind and loving friends
and speaks well for the citizens of
that section.
Rev. Leslie to Leave.
It will be generally regretted that
the Rev. A. S. Leslie has been called
to another field. He has been here
for the past three years and many
warm ties of friendship have been
formed. He goes to Elloree, Orangeburg
county, and we bespeak for him
much success in his new field of labor.
Ae will be succeeded here by the
Rev. J. W. Neely.
