Edgar Taylor's Tribute
to Southern. Women.
I wish that I could borrow from all
the languages of earth the most beautiful
of adjectives, and, with the skill
of an orator, fashion them into glorious
garlands of rhetoric, and place
them on the brows of the women of
the Southland. And I would feel,
even then, as though I had; failed in
my greatest effort to do justice to
their grandeur and their glory.
