I will sing with you, I will jest with
you,
I will dance with you down the
year;
But trudge a day on a dreary way?
Never again, my dear!
I will feast with you when lights flare

And the hall is warm with cheer;
But share a crust in a garret's dust?
Never agaiu, my dear!
I will laugh with you while lips may
laugh,
And iest while your ears may hear;
But take your wo and your tears?
Ah, no?

Why Coids Are Dangerous.
Because you have contracted ordinary
colds and recovered from them without
treatment of any kind, do not for a moment
imagine that colds are not dangerous.
Everyone knows that pneumonia
and chronic catarrh have their
origin in a common cold. Consumption
is not caused by a cold but Che cold prepares
the system for the reception and
development of the germs that would
not otherwise have found lodgment.
It is the same with infectious diseases.
' Diphtheria, scarlet fever, measles and
whooping congli are much more likely
to be contracted when the child has a
cold. You will see from this that more
real danger lurks in a cold than in any
other of the common ailments. The
easiest and quickest way to cure a cold
is to take Chamberlain's Cough Remdy.
The many remarkable cures effected
by this preparation have made it a
staple article of trade over a large part
of the world. For sale by Kaufmann

Negro Night Eiders Caught.
New Orleans, La., October 8?News
reached here today of the arrest a1
Myersville, Miss., of six negroes
charged with posting night riding
warnings against cotton ginning,
Posses are searching for two others
wanted on the same charge. The alleged
confession of on9 of these negroes,
Walter Robinson, declares that
negro organizations have been formed
for night riding purposes in both Mississippi
and Louisiana. Robinson said
a negro from Louisiana, who claimed
to have organized night riding in that
State had formed the Myersville band.
The arrest of the six negroes was
made through information supplied
by J. T. Heath, a ginner, who recognized
the handwriting of a former negro
employee in a warning which he
had received.
More Than Enough is Too
Much.
To maintain health, a mature man 01
woman needs just enough food to repaii
the waste and supply energy and bodj
heat. The habitual consumption oi
more food than is necessary for these
purposes is the prime cause of stomach
troubles, rheumatism and disorders of
the kidneys. If troubled with indigestion,
revise your diet, let reason and not
appetite control and take a few doses of
Chamberlain's Stomach and Liver Tablets
and you will soon be all right again.
