Well, South Carolina has lost her .. dispensary case. This is a true case { of "We told you so." The Dispatch predicted several months ago that it "; would amount to nothing and in the final end the taxpayers of the State I would be the losers. Federal Judge Pritchard has been sustained in every point of the case by the United States Circuit Court of Appeals. It is needless. in our opinion, to carry the case The State Supreme court has forever disbarred John T. Duncan from the roll of attorneys in South Carolina. 4 The decision was handed down on Thursday. It was written by Judge K. W. Memmenger, of Charleston, and is a very able document indeed. The Court completely exhonorates Solicitor Timmerman of any wrong doing, which is most gratifying to the young Solicitor's many friends throughout the |3tate. The election of Banks L. Caughman breaks the precedent of this office and is very gratifying to his Lexington friends. He received a very large vote in this county?the count}* of his birth and where his character and fitness are known to almost every man. Caughman has made a good commissicner. He is active,- intelligent and liberal minded, and this endorsement of him at the hands of the people will make him all the more x alert in their interests.
