Crops are not as good a9 the farmers would have them. The drouth ha9 cut them short by nearly onehalf. Those who planted their corn on the Williamson Plan have the be9t prospects. This should be a valuable lesson to those who are hard to get out of the old way of doing things. Revs. Rountree and Shaffer will begin a protracted meeting at Boiling Springs tomorrow. Miss Bertha Kleckley has been elected teacher of Boiling Springs school for the next term. The patrons should feel proud over securing such a refined, Christian young lady to teach and help shape the lives of their children. Rumor says that Mrs. Robt. Rountree, of Gilbert, has been elected teacher of Liberty Hill school. Just a couple more weeks and the candidates will know their fate. To be or not to be is the question that agitates the office-seeker. Of course, all the aspirants cannot be elected, but it gives them all a good opportunity to practice oratory. M. Aug. 8.
