New York's State Hospital Issues
Most Encouraging Report.
Ray brook state hospital in New
York state for the treatment of incipient
tuberculosis has now passed the
experimental state, according to the
report of the special committee of the
state board of charities.
The large amount of recoveries reported
from the institution, it is
claimed, shows the treatment to be
most efficacious, and especially when
the patients received are in the incipient
stages. In addition to its curative
work, the committee claims that it is
also doing educational work, the cured
patients repeating to their friends at
home the lessons learned in the hospital
and also enforcing sanitary rules.
The main question now, the committee
says, is, to determine who shall
be admitted.
Speaking of the institution, the report
says:
"It is not desirable to take patients
from their homes and circles of friendship
and place them in institutions
similar to Raybrook. Far better if
some local hospital be provided by the
cities or counties, as these will give
the patients the opportunities which
they require."
Diarrhoea Cured.
"My father has for years been troubled
with diarrhoea, and tried every
means possible to effect a cnre, without
avail," writes John H. Zirkle of Philinni
W V*. "Ho saw Chamberlain's
Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy
advertised in the Philippi Republican
and decided to try it. The result is one
bottle cured him and he has not suffered
with the disease for eighteen months.
Before taking this remedy he was a constant
sufferer. He is now sound and
well, and although 60 years old, can do
as much work as a young man." Sold

Neurbarry College Reunion.
Mr. R. Wilbur Friek, secretary of
the Little Mountain reunion of Newberry
college, authorizes The Dispatch
to announce that the reunion
will be held August 7th.
It is haTdly necessary to do more
than to give the date. Little Mountain
reunion is almost as widely
known as Columbia's State fair. Special
trains will be operated from Laurens
and from Columbia to Little
Mountain.
She Likes Good Things.
Mrs. Chas. E. Smith, of West Franklin,
Maine, says: "I like good things
and have adopted Dr. King's New Life
Pills as our family laxative medicine,
because they are good and do their work
without making a fuss about it." These
painless purifiers sold at Derrick's Drug
Store and Kaufmann Drug Co. 25c.
