Humanity In The Mills.
There is a spirit of humanity manifesting
itself in the cotton mills ir
this State. All at once they have realized
that their operatives who have
been laboring so faithfully need a rest.
Realizing that all work and no play
makes Johnnie a dull boy, many oi
them have given the operatives a ten
days' rest. It is encouraging to note
that the heartless corporations have
some heart, and feel for those whc
labor for them and make their wealth.
There are some pessimists who really
believe that the world is growing
worse year by year. This is evidence
that belies their belief. Such a thing
as a vacation a few years ago was unheard
of. We have known mills not
to give but one day for Christmas, and
an operative lo9t his job who undertook
to take Thanksgiving or the
Fourth of July. Well, we are glad to
see that the mills are beginning to
have some consideration for the men
and women and little children dependent
upon them. There is one

To Eoop Flies Outside.
For those who object to wire netting

been found to prevent flies and such
annoying pests from entering the
house. This new preventative is a

This is what Hon. Jake Moore, State
Warden of Georgia, says of Kodol for
Dyspepsia: "E. C. DeWitt & Co.,
Chicago, 111.?Dear Sirs?I have suffered
more than twenty years from indigestion.
About eighteen months ago I
had grown so much worse that I could
not retain anything on my stomach. I
lost 25lbs; in fact I made up my mind
that I could not live but a short time,
when a friend of mine recommended
Kodol. I consented to try it to please
him and was better in one day. I now
weigh more than I ever did in my life
and am in better health than for many
years. Kodol did it. I keep a bottle
constantly, and write this hoping that
humanity may be benefitted. Yours

Over Thirty-Pive Tears.
In 1872 there was a great deal of diarrhoea,
dysentery and cholera infantum.
It was at this time that Chamberlain's
Colic. Cholera and Diarrhoea
| Remedy was first brought into use. It
proved more snccessfnl than any other
remedy or treatment, and has for thirtyfive
years maintained that record. From
a small beginning its sale and use has
extended to every part of the United
States and to many foreign countries.
Nine druggists out of ten will recommend
it when their opinion is asked,
although they have other medicines
that pay them a greater profit. It can
always be depended upon, even in the
most severe and dangerous cases. For
