Shoots Her Father
and is Cheered by Crowd.
Millville, N. J., July 16.?There is
no sympathy here for Edward Polhamus,
of Delmont, who is dying from
two bullet wounds; but his daughter,
Helen, who fired the shots last night,
is cheered by every man and woman
in town.
She shot him when, enraged, he
threatened to kill hi9 family, including
a bedridden wife and a three days'
old baby. Love drove the girl to the
act. She fired a9 he was bent on
murder and then she 9aved her father
from lynching even in his wounded
and helpless condition, at the hands
of the men of the village. She met
the would-be avengers face to face
and pleaded with them.
"Heeannotdo any harm now," she
said. "Please leave him for God to
take care of," and Miss Helen won
out.
The villagers went away. And not
a man suggests putting Helen in jail
for her act. She gave herself up to
I Justice Beckley, but he sent her away
on her own recognizance, though
prominent citizens offered bail in any
amount if needed.
Polhamus is said to have brooded
over family trouble. He took to drink
and while drunk is alleged to have
made a public threat to kill his family
and himself and to end his troubles.
Was in Poor Health for Years
Ira W. Kelley, of Mansfield, Pa.,
writes: "I was in poor health for two
years, suffering from kidney and bladder
trouble, and spent considerable
money consulting physicians without
obtaining any marked benefit, but was
cured by Foley's Kidney Cure, and I
desire to add my testimony that it may
be the cause of restoring the health of
others." Refuse substitutes. Derrick's

G. B. Burhans Testifies After
Four Years.
G. B. Eurhans, of Carlisle Center, N.
Y., writes: "About four years ago I
wrote you stating that 1 had been entirely
cured of a severe kidney trouble
by taking less than two bottles of Foley's
Kidney Cure. It entirely stopped
the brick dust sediment, and pain and
symptoms of kidney disease disappeared.
I am glad to say that I have never had
a return of any of those symptoms during
the four years that have elapsed
and I am evidently cured to stay cured,
and heartily recommend Foley's Kidney
Cure to any one suffering from kidney
or bladder trouble." Derrick's Drug
