Quite a number of residents in this j
section of the Dutch Fork have bad j
mail facilities. We have to go about I
three miles to Chapin when we want |
our mail and the same distance when j
we want to send any off. Does that j
look like putting mail at everybody's f
door? No; not bv 3 miles. We are |
all citizens of the Dutch Fork of Lexington
county, of the grand old Palmetto
State, and we want better mail
service.
While the political pot is simmering
high we would suggest to the voters
that Prof. Joseph L. Amick i9 the

Of Interest to Democrats.
The National Democratic Congressional
Campaign Committee has begun
active operations at its headquarters
at Washington, D. C. In
addition to its regular work it is now
preparing a campaign hand book
which it hopes to have ready for dis- i
tribution by July 1?two or three j
months earlier than heretofore.
The committee is charged with the
duty of assisting, in every way possible,
the election of a Democratic
Congress. We wish the active cooperation
of every voter in the
United States who believes, with ds,
that the election of a Democratic
Congress would greatly benefit the
country. We must rely upon the
people to sustain our work by giving ;
information as to local conditions, i
and suggestions for our guidance.
Each individual can at least aid us :
by making a contribution. Will he
not do so and interest others in helping
us, too?
We wish our campaign hand book ;
distributed as generally as possible, j
and we will furnish a copy, as soon as j
published, to every one who con- j
tributes to our committee.
Send remittances to me at Wash- i

A man who is fin perfect health, so
he can do an honest day's work when
necessary has much for which he should
be thankful. Mr. L. O. Hodgers, of
Branchton, Pa., writes that he was not
only unable to work, but he couldn't

bottles of Foley's Kidney Cure made a
new man of him. He says, "Success to

Cough Caution
Never, positively never poison your lung?. If yon
cough?even from a simple cold only?you should
always heal, soothe, and ease the irritated bronchial
tubes. Don't blindly suppress it with a
stupefying poison. It's strange how som^ thinga
finally come about. For twenty years I)r. Shoop
has constantly warned people not to take cough '
mixtures or prescriptions containing Opium,
Chloroform, or similar poisons. And now?a little
late though?Congress says "Put it on the label,
if poisons are in your Cough Mixture." Good I

and others, should insist on having Dr. Shoop's *
Cough Cure. No poison marks on Dr. Shoop's
labels?and none in the medicine, else it mu9t by
law be on the label. And it's not only safe, but it
is said to be by those that know it best, a truly remarkable
cough remedy. Take no chance then,
particularly with your children. Insist on having
Dr. Shoop's Cough Cure. Compare carefully the
Dr. Shoop package with others and note the
difference. No poison marks there! You can
