Shot lay Young Girl.
Tunica, Miss., June 12.?Seeking
revenge for the death of her father,
Percy M. Houston, who was shot to
death on the streets of this city hardI3
two months ago, Mrs. Jacob Weinstein
walked up behind his slayer, J.
T. Lowe, a prominent attorney, on
the principal street of the town yesterday
morning, and fired point blank
into his back. A second snot, which
was meant for Lowe, was deflected
by her ten-year-old brother-in-law,
who was accompanying her, and who
grasped her arm after the first discharge
of the revolver.
Thinking his assailant was a man
Lowe wheeled to defend himself, and
pulled his pistol as he turned. He
saw a woman before him.
"Oh, you are a lady! I will not
shoot you!" and the desperately
wounded man quietly placed the
weapon in his pocket and walked to a
physieian'9 office, where he collappsed.
Mrs. Weinstein fled to the home
of her mother, where 9he is now in
custody of a deputy.
"Good as Gold."
There were a number of subscribers
who were in arrears for a year and
more for The Dispatch whom we were
forced to stop, in compliance with the
new postal laws. Some of them, "as
good as gold," but it was not left to
our discretion, for we had to stop
their papers. Now, we want them to
settle and let us continue to send The
Dispatch. It will be interesting during
the campaign.

Bryan's Daughter a Delegate.
Mrs. Ruth Bryan Lcavitt, daughter
of William J. Bryan, has been named
a delegate at large to the state democratic
convention of Colorado, to be
held at Glenwood Springs. She was
named by the Denver county convention,
which, while it endorsed the
candidacy of her father for the presidency,
did not instruct for him. She
was not at the convention, being at
her father's home in Lincoln with her
children, and did not know that her
name was to be presented.
The move may result in Mrs. Leavitt's
being sent as a delegate to the
democratic national convention.
There has been talk of naming her
and Mrs. J. A. Hayes, a daughter of
Jefferson Davis, as delegates to the
national convention.
Card of Thanks.

and death, which occurred on Jan.

A Lesson in Health.
Healthy kidneys filter the impurities
from the blood, and unless they do this
good health is impossible. Foley's Kidney

A man who is in perfect health, so
he can do au honest day's work when
necessary, has much for which he should
be thankful. Mr. L. C. Rodger.s, of
Branchton, Pa., writes that he was not
only unable to work, but he couldn't
stoop over to tie his own shoes. Six
bottles of Foley's Kiduey Cure made a
new man of him. He says, "Success to
