This sign ispermanently attached
to the front of the main building of
the Lydia E. Pinkham Medicine
Company, Lynn, Mass.
What Does This Sinn Mean ?
It means that public bisection of
the Labora tory and met hods of doing
business is honestly desired. It means
that there is nothing about the business
which is notopen and aboveboard."
# It means that a permanent invitation
is extended to anyone to come
and verify any and all statements j
made in the advertisements of Lydia
E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound.
Is it a purely vegetable compound
made from roots and herbs ? with- I
out drugs ? I
Come and See.
Do the women of America continually
use as much of it as we are told ?
Come and See.
Was there ever such a person as
Lydia E. Pinkham, and is there any
Mrs. Pinkham now to whom sick
woman are asked to write ?
Come and See.
Is the vast private correspondence
with sick women conducted by
women only, and are the letters kept
strictly confidential ?

Coihe and See.
Have they proof'that Lydia E.
Pinkham's Vegetable Compound has
cured thousands of these women?
Come and See.
This advertisement is only for
doubters. The great army of women
who know from their own personal
experience that no medicine in the
world equals Lydia E. Pinkhaag's
Vegetable Compound for female ills
will still go 011 using and being benefited
by it; but the poor doubting,
suffering woman must, for her own
sake,be taught confidence,for she also
might just as well, regain her health.
Told Wifo to Give Him Rifle.
W. J. Pitella committed suicide at
his h^me in Pelzer mill village at Pelzer
Wednesday morning at 2 o'clock.
It is reported that he had been drinking
very heavily for several days. He
woke his wife at 2 o'clock and told
her to bring him a Winchester rifle.
She handed it to him, and he ir.stantIv
shot himself through the head.
She was the only witness. Pitella
bad oniy moved to Peizer two weeks
before, and leaves a wife and two
cbiidien. No cause is known for his
suicide except that he was demented
from drink.
Biliousness and Constipation.
TiY?r vpftTe T was frnnhlprl with hilinns
ness and constipation, which made life
miserable for me. My appetite failed
me. I lost my usual force and vitality.
Pepsin preparations and cathartics only
made matters worse. I do not know
where I should have been today had I
not tried Chamberlain's Stomach and
Liver Tablets. The tablets relieve the
ill feeling at once, strengthen the digestive
functions, purify the stomach, liver
and blood, helping the system to do its
work naturally.?Mrs. Rosa Potts, Birmingham,
Ala. These tablets are for

then went to his home and took a
dose of laudanum, from the effects of
which he died. Glover was 25 years
old and married. It is said that lie
had been drinking heavily for several
days.
