Conductor Wright, who was slightly injured in the wreck at Trenton last week in which Engineer Hubbard was killed, spent Sunday here with Col. and Mrs. M. D. Harmaa. Miss Minnie Dunbar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Dunbar, of Black Creek, has returned from the Columbia hospital, where she underwent a very serious operation. w Capt. C. C. Roberts, of the S. C. penitentiary, spent Saturday and Sunday with friends and relatives in Lexington. Mr. HaH resides at Samaria, but has business interests in different sections of the county. Mr. P. A. McDonald, a handsome young gentleman of Columbia, spent Sunday in Lexington. These visits are becoming so frequent that "suspicion" is being aroused. Lexington's loss will be Columbia's gain. Mr. Logan A. George, who has spent the last few years in the North, after spending a few months with home folks near this place, has gone to superintend a government position on the Black Warrior river, at Tusca ioosa, Ala. Sheriff Corloy Moves Hie Family. Sheriff Corley has moved his family from the jail to the old Sawyer place, he having recently purchased the property from Solicitor Timmerman. Mr. Sim J. Miller will move his family into the jail at once. To the court officials, grand jurors and i all others interested: An extra term of the court of General Sessions, in and for the county of Lexington, will be held at Lexington court House, in said county, beginning at 11 a. m., on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1908, and to continue for such length of time as may be necessary, to be presided over by Hon. J. W. DeVore, circuit judge, as special judge in accordance with the following_two orders of the. governor, to wit: STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA, Executive Department. Application having been made to me by Solicitor G. B. Tim merman, Solicitor of the circuit embracing the county of Lexington, it having been in fifth judicial circuit and it now being in the eleventh judicial circuit, for an extra term of the Court of General Sessions for Lexington county, in accordance with the provisions of Section 2744 of the Code of Laws of 1902, volume 1, I do hereby order that an extra term of the Court of General Sessions be held in and for the county of Lexington, in this State, to commence on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1908, and to continue for such length of time as may be necessary. I do hereby notify the Clerk of Court of Lexington County of the calling of said extra term of the court of general sessions.
