Under joint resolutions passed at
the recent session of the general assembly,
certain back pensioners were
directed to be paid, among them being
Mr3. Mary A. Koon, of Chapin,
amounting to $123.27.
Miss Emma Ballentine left last
week for the Northern markets, where
she goes to buy a stock of millinery
and notions fpr her employer at Spartanburg.
Upon her return she will
spend about a week with her parents
here before returning to her work at
Spartanburg.
Mr. L. W. Hendricks, the popular
