The supreme court yesterday heard arguments for and against the State board of canvassers, which recently declared the dispensary election in * Kershaw county illegal. It will be recalled that when the dispensary and distillery in Kershaw county were voted on, a majority of the votes cast ^ were against the dispensary. It was daisied, however, that the secrecy of thev?allot was not observed as four boxes were placed at each voting precinct?one for and one against the dispensary, and one tor and one against the distillery. As a result each vote cast was known to > the managers of the election and the general public. The State board of canvassers de* cided that the election was not legal and this was an appeal from this decision. The court will render a decision later.?-State, 29th. v i K A / ' SS6S696SSS6SSS69SS T) MEM i $225-uood Terms. | proposed Trolly Car lines 8 stment, liable to Doable i year.
