After several months' work' Sheriff Corley has succeeded in catching J. B. \ DeLoach, wanted for obtaining money under false pretenses from the Citizens Bank, of Batesburg, and the Bank, of Saluda. It will be recalled that Sheriff Corley had him located in Florida some months ago, bat before he arrived there he had made his escape. This time, however, DeLoach was at Waynesville, N. C., and the Sheriff succeeded in getting him without trouble. DeLoach is now in jail. 9 ICasoaie. A regular communication of Boyls' ton Lodge, A. F. Her death V has brought peculiar sadness to the hearts of her parents, as this makes the third or fourth death in their family within the past year. Brown to Luther J. Frink, lot in Brookland for $335. lbs. Samuel Steele Dead.. Mrs. Samuel Steele died at her home in the mill village yesterday afternoon after a long illness of typhoid fever. Mrs. Steele bore her sickness with that Christian fortitude . which always supports those wlfo love Him during sicxness, sorrow and death. She leaves an afflicted husband, besides a large host of other relatives and friends to mourn her loss. She will be buried this afternoon at 3 o'clock at St. David's church, near Arthur's. When a woman desn't cry because it's a sign she has no new clothes to go out in. A woman's idea of a good husband is one whose family live better than sue; wicj van auuiu USJ. Barbecue at Irene. The Irene Brass Band will furnish a firstclass barbecue with refreshments at Irene on July 4th. Music and .dancing will be the order of the day. A good dinner will be served, and the proceeds will go to the band. ? Everybody should attend this "cue" on July 4th. Notice.
