Dispensary Auditor West has submitted to the attorney general a number-of questions regarding the enforcement of those sections of the Carey-Cothran act relating to hi8 duties. Mr. West wants to know if the section relating to the use of reouest books 9hall be carried out in cases where the purchaser of liquor can not sign his or her name and whether or not the dispenser can use a stamp for filling out dates. The attorney general thinks that I;- the dispenser can sign a request for an illiterate person, provided his or her mark is made as on any other legal paper apd that rubber stamps can be used except for signatures. tC These questions have been already considered by the Richland county board and Mr. West appeared before ; | that body which resulted in the queries of the attorney general.?The State, 15th. ? $100 Seward, $100'. New Orleans, March 14.?The sale of the Mississippi river quarantine station to the United States for $100,000 was annouced today by the State board of health.
