A Dutch Letter.
Bishopville, S. C., Jail. 20th, 1907.?
I discovered recently a sermon, the
words I enclose, which you might
publish for the entertainment of those
of your readers who descended from
fe Dutch ancestry. The occasion was, I
think, the going out of a company to
join Gen. Sumter during American
revolution from Dutch Fork.
Yours truly,
W. A. Jan^es.

There is more Catarrh in this section j
of the country than all other diseases
pat together, and nnfcil the last few
years was supposed to be incurable. For
jp&f, a great many years doctors pronounced
it a local disease and prescribed local
0Q remedies, and by constantly failing to
cure with local treatment, pronounced
it incurable. Science has proven catarrh
to be a constitutional disease and therefore
requires constitutional treatment.
Hall's Catarrh Cure, manufactured by
F.-J. Cheney & Co., Toledo, O., is the
only constitutional cure on the market.
It is taken internally in doses from 10
drops to a teaspoonf ul. It acts directly
on the blood and mucous surfaces of the
system. They offer one hundred dollars
for any case it fails to cure.. Send

Richland Needs Conrt.
Solicitor Timmerman has written
the following letter to the senators
and representatives in his circuit:
" Some time previous to the convening
of the general assembly I directed
a letter to the members of the
legislative delegations in each of the
counties of the fifth judicial circuit,
calling attention to the fact that there
was a necessity for some changes in
the arrangement of our courts with
a view to giving more tame for the
trial of the criminal cases in Richland
county, the criminal docket in
said county being very much congested.
"Later, after the convening of the
general assembly, at the request of
one of the members of the Lexington
delegation, I prepared a bill which in
my judgment would have, if passed,
afforded the necessary relief. I am
informed that on account of certain
l^cal objections in certain of the
counties affected, the bill will not
pass. y

THREE EPOC
AW
MRS. ELVA BARBER EDWARDS
There are. three critical stages in a
woman's life which leave their mark
in her career. The first of these stages
is womanhood, or the change from a
care free girl to budding womanhood,
The second is motherhood, and the
third is Change of Life.
Perils surround each of these stages,
and most of the misery that comes
to women through ill health dates
from one or another of these important
crises.
Women should remember that Lydia
E. Pinkh&m's Vegetable Compound
made from native roots and herbs has
carried thousands of young girls over
thfc critical period of puberty, has
prepared mothers for childbirth, and
in later years' carried them safely ,
through the change of life more sue- |
cessfully than any other remedy in
the world. Thousands of testimonials
from grateful persons, two of which
are here published, substantiate this
fact beyond contradiction.
Mrs. George Walters of Woodlawn,
111. writes f
Dear Mrs. Pinkham:?
"I feel it ray duty to tell you of the good

can get a rehearing of his
case. Hasty, -it will" be remembered,
shot-and killed Milan Bennett and
Abbott Davidson, members of a theatrical
troupe, in his hotel in Gaffney
on Dec. 15,1905. The case was of
unusual interest inasmuch as Ha&ty
killed the two men because they resented
an insult offered one of the
young ladies of their company by
Hasty, while they were guests at his
hotel. The trial came off last March
and was dramatic in many respects.
When the jury brought in its verdict
of "guilty" there was general applause
throughout the court room.
