G-. 77. Hutto Bitten "by a Bab"bid
Dog1.
Fearful lesfc the bite from a dog
known to have been afflicted with the
rabies should prove fatal, Mr. G. W.
Hutto, of this city, left for the Atlanta
Pasteur Institute yesterday
morning, hoping that the treatment
administered there would ward off
the dreaded hydrophobia.
Mr. Ilutto, an employee of the

well-known in Augusta, was in
Waynesboro, Saturday morning when
hitten by the canine. He had just
emerged from a store, with several
bills in his hand, when the dog, which
was standing in his pathway, snapped
at tfce pieces of paper, his teeth fastening
on Mr. Hutto's hand instead.
As the wound was' not very painful
the injured man gave it little heed,
and proceeded about his business.
After returning from Waynesboro, he
went to several towns along the
Georgia rdad. ,,
The same afternoon,, however, the
dog bit two children, and was later
killed.?Augusta Chronicle.
[Tha above will be .read with sincere
regret ?:y the many friends of Mr.
Wash Hutto who. resided in this
county, near Pelion, where he
was born and reared, and many will
join the Dispatch in the hope that 110
serious effects will result from the
bite. Mr. Hutto is now in the Pasteur
Institute in Atlanta for treatment.?
