Wednesday, December 26,1906. Virginia Letter. Editor of The Dispatch: It has been so long since I have written you a letter that I am almost ashamed to write now. But leaving one's duty undone does not amend matters. My silence must not be construed as a want of appreciation of what I shall always call 4 'my home people." My visit home last summer inrck-n irat onnma Ko t.Ofi <rnr?H hp WW! JV.U ? ~ true. Bat it was true, and truly a pleasure. The reception of the people I loved so well will be a green spot in my life, a veritable oasis in the sands of life. Another pleasure of the summer was the visit of some of our dear friends from the Palmetto State. It made us proud, not only because they were our friends, but that they thought enough of us to come so far to visit us. To them we say, "come again.*' And I want now to ask all to do likewise. If you are tired and want rest, come up in the mountains with us next summer. You will enjoy the pure air, the beautiful scenery, the sparkling water, and the fine milk, butter and beef. It will do you more good than medicine, and then you will be with us. I forgot to say that we are well, and that we are busy. Mrs. B. is preparing her piano pupils for a musical during the holidays. She has 14, and.these with her domestic duties, keeps her from becoming lonesome. As usual, in connection with my regular work, I am with the children for a Christmas service. Friday a ; week ago, our people - observed "wood chopping day.'' Fifteen loads of wood were hauled, and most of it put up in the wood house ready for use. More is to follow. We feel like whistling now when the snow and ice comes. We are with a kind people?the same german stock of our ancestors. This morning I had a letter, brief, but to the point: "Mr. Ballentine, please send me your suit measure." Truly, . This reminds me that Christmas is near. I find that when one tries to do his full duty, he can maae menus <xny wucre. With Christian greetings from Virginia, I am, truly, S. C. Ballentine. Passed Examination Successfully. James Donahue, New Britain, Conn., writes; "I tried several kidney remedies, and was treated by our best physicans for'diabetes, but did not improve until I took Foley's Kidney Cure. After the .second bottle I showed improvement, and five bottles cured me completely. I have since passed a rigid examination for life insurance." , Foley's Kidney Cure cures back-ache and all forms of kidney and bladder trouble. The Kaufmann Drug Co. Baptist 'Union Meeting.
