AT THE STATE FAIR
The people in Columbia have gotten
together this year and the Fair
.Association has worked with a vim
never known before. Everything has
been arranged with a view to amusing
and giving pleasure to the thou-'
sands of visitors. One of the most
important attractions of the week will
be the Grand Fire Works display
on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
nights. The Great "Carbo" will
bring his entire show to Columbia
this year and no finer Fire Works
have ever been seen. This is Carbo's
first trip through the~7Tnited States
and it is needless to say that it will
be of the highest character.
The Fair Grounds and streets will
be kept lively wiui good band music
and free shows. Good programs
with wonderful acts are arranged. The
best the Fair people have ever been
ablev to find. *
The theater has been remodeld so
that hundreds more can be seated.
One ot the most modern in the south
now. And the week is filled with ^finest
attractions that come -isouth. Unusually
fiDe.
The State Ball and other dances
will be held to please the young visitors.
Manv meetings and social func
tions. Everybody will have a * good
time. The one time of the year you
cau gee lo see so-many old friends
and acquantances.
The entrances and ekits at the Fair
grounds have been enlarged so that
there will- be plenty of-room to handle
all the crowds. More street cars
and fasteh schedules will be used.
