The rains of last week is reported as
haying played havoc with land and
crops. Some farmers are powerfully
blue. Damage heavy. Guano and
labor gone.

Mr. J. Ed. Ban*, of our town, was

Ed. is a graduate and feels attached
to the old institution.
Miss Sadie Leslie, the daughter of
Rev. A. S. Leslie, who has been attending
Winthrop college, has returned
to spend vacation here at the
parental home.
Adam Johnson Jr., an employee of
the rock quarry was yesterday indicted
for abstracting the stubs from the
order book at quarry and having same
cashed at Hartley's store. All the
damages and cost have been paid and
